Udon and soba were great. The view was stunning. A nice break when it’s cold and snowy outside

I received the Japanese yam soba (large serving). The dipping sauce made with grated yam goes very well with the soba noodles, and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor, texture, and smoothness of the soba noodles. To be honest, the food I eat at restaurants in tourist areas is often disappointing, but the yam and soba noodles I had here were very delicious.I was told that the wild yam was dug by the local people, so I felt like I was getting the energy of the area. The view from the window was also very nice.

Cafe located within the grounds of Chusonji TempleYou can eat natural yam soba etc.I went there for a 3 o'clock snack. The wild yam tiramisu had a shocking texture and was very delicious.Next time, I would like to go for a meal and enjoy the Japanese yam.

Visited by walking from Hiraizumi Station.A restaurant run by a temple. No, it's more of a stylish cafe than a restaurant. Have Japanese yam soba. The Japanese yam mixed with the soba noodles is delicious. I ate it completely. In addition to soba noodles, they also have pizza. The view from the seats is great, making it a recommended place for lunch after visiting Chusonji Temple.

Kanzantei (かんざん亭) is a tea house and restaurant located on the grounds of Chusonji Temple (中尊寺) in Hiraizumi, Iwate Prefecture, Japan.Kanzan-tei is a place of relaxation for tourists visiting Chuson-ji Temple, and is famous for its traditional Japanese atmosphere and local cuisine. There are many restaurants at the entrance to Chusonji Temple, but this place, located near the temple grounds, was a great place to dine with an open view and soothing music throughout the meal.Above all, the staff was very friendly. Since it was winter, many customers ate Kino Kosu Idon (きのこすいとん), but they said cold Nebagiru Soba (ネバギール) was also delicious, so I ordered and tried Nebagiru.Nebagiru Soba Unlike its appearance, it was quite chewy and had a firmness like cold noodles. It tasted even better when added with ingredients such as wild yam and okra.I wasn't able to try it that day, but I want to try the signature dessert tiramisu with a temple sign next time.

unexpected food quality. Tiramisu had rich taste coffee, creamy and tasty. Latte and americano were smooth and fragrant. I can tell most outstanding dishes would be soba. Soup with deep taste of sweet soy sauce. I love it!!Nice view, confort place.

Took a break for some tea and cake. It's flawless. Although I would prefer to have some other options for snacks, the banana bread hit the spotView is great, and is a nice stop after visiting chusonji temple.
